QUESTION: Does a manufacturer have to warranty their products?
ANSWER: The Warranty Act doesn’t require any manufacturer to provide a written warranty, but allows manufacturers to determine whether to warrant their products in writing. Once a manufacturer decides to offer a written warranty on a consumer product, however, it must comply with the Warranty Act.
